I had the good fortune to have worked on some great projects downtown LA in the early 1990's. After the completetion of Frank Stella's mural "Dusk" on the Pac-Bell Building behind the new Gas Company Tower, I answered the call and made my way across 5th Ave into the Lodwrick M. Cook Rotunda in the LA Central Library to recreate a pattern that had been lost on the four columns amongst the Dean Cromwell murals. While this restoration was going on in the rotunda the new west wing of the library was under construction and you can see the library's west wing being built as I swing on the Pac-Bell building in the photo to the left. Cool huh?
